a private beta for iphone and android
a feed made by your friends.
share the videos, songs and links you'd send the group chat, and talk about each one in its own thread.
on iphone you join through apple's testflight app, and on android through google play's testing program. groups are invite-only, so you'll need an invite link from a friend who's already in one, or you can start a group of your own.
the videos, songs and links from your group chat, lined up in one tidy feed.
what it's like
it picks up where you left off.
everything your groups shared since you last looked, in the order it was posted, one post at a time. swipe up when you're ready for the next.
every post gets its own thread.
tap the comments and they slide up under the video, which keeps playing above them, so you can talk about it while you're still watching.
a heart, or something louder.
tap the heart to like a post, or press and hold it to pick one of five other reactions for the times a heart doesn't quite cover it.
and then it ends.
scrolly doesn't keep feeding you more. once you've watched everything your friends posted, it tells you you're all caught up, and you can put your phone down.
small, on purpose.
every group on scrolly is invite-only. you get in with a link or a code from someone who's already a member, and nobody else can find you: there's no search, no public profile and no way for a stranger to wander in.
- you can be in more than one group. your roommates, your family and your kickball team can each have their own, and you can watch them all mixed into one feed or switch to one group at a time.
- every group has its own colour, so you can tell at a glance which group a post came from.
- no group yet? start one in the app and send its invite link to the handful of friends you'd want in it.
one post can go to a few groups.
when you share something, tick every group it's meant for. each group gets its own copy, so your kickball team and your family can have completely separate conversations about the same video.
you post about as much as you watch.
a post on scrolly is called a scrolly, and you can post a few at a time. watching what your friends posted lets you post more, and anything you share while you're out waits in your queue and posts itself once you can.
nothing about you is sold.
scrolly is meant to be a quiet, private place for you and your friends, and it's built to stay that way.
read how we handle your dataget the beta.
scrolly is in beta on iphone and android. that means it's the real app, used by real groups of friends, but it still changes most weeks and the odd thing may break. if anything goes wrong or confuses you, email scrolly@312.dev and a person will read it.
